I had the honor to be a part of the Butler’s wedding on April 4th. Such a beautiful couple and fun wedding! When sharing the pictures I had to search for a place to start, and I have decided to start with the details, so here goes…

My Sleeping Child
I have always attributed the fact that I can fall asleep anywhere and can sleep through pretty much anything to my mothers love of music. I was raised enjoying live music in some amazing pubs in Dallas and I have fallen asleep to some spectacular acts. (No judging, it was the 80’s)
I think someday Judah will attribute his ability to sleep to his mother as well. No I don’t take him to the club, but I have loved to take pictures of this little sleeping man since the day he came into this world. He is such a hard sleeper that I can move him, roll him over, and place a flash right next to his head and he tends to sleep right through it. I love it!! Love my Sleeping Baby!
2015 Weekly Photo Challenge_Week 1
As I started setting goals for 2015, the one I kept returning to was to use my real camera more and stop relying on my smartphone to document my children, and to grow as a photographer, editor, and graphic artist.
For week one I chose to start to get comfortable with off camera flash. This is something I’m sure to return to many times over this year long project.

The Wedding Day
Today is the big day for Nicole and Zach and I could not be more excited for both of them. A wedding on the lawn at the Historical Arlington Hotel in Hot Springs, it’s going to be beautiful and I can’t wait to share it. I spent last night changing and charging batteries, cleaning lenses and packing equipment bags. It should be a beautiful crisp day to say “I do”.
